The following spreadsheet uses the system design rules from the Jovian Chronicles Companion 1st Edition. Individual values have been adjusted slightly, as the original rules did not effectively affect the modifiers for different accuracy, rate of fire, and some querks. In the column “JC Calc” you find the calculation of the costs according to original rules, in the column “Mod. Calc” the calculation after my adaptation.

Pale blue boxes require an entry or selection. Yellow boxes show important intermediate calculations and values. The final calculation of the created design is done in the two black framed tables below. Some tables with reference values follow, these are included by the system design depending on the inputs.
